How are the calls I make through your service charged?

If you sign up to our PINless Account Service or Top up by Text Service, your call charges are deducted from your prepaid balance. Calls are charged per minute with a 5p connection fee. If you take advantage of our 0800 freephone access number, there is a surcharge of 4p a minute at all times added to our advertised rates.

If you’re using our Instant Access Numbers (prefixed 0843, 0872 or 0913) then the cost of calling is added to your usual phone bill at the advertised rate, plus your phone provider’s access charge. For example, if you are calling 0843 715 2222 and you are a BT Residential customer, the cost would be our charge of 1p per minute, plus BT’s access charge which is currently 9.8p per minute.

Should I sign up for an account or use an instant access number?

Signing up for an account gives you all the benefits of a dial-through service without paying an extra “access charge” to your phone provider, thus this is usually the cheapest way to make overseas phone calls. Just like using the Instant Access Numbers, you don’t have to remember a PIN. Just register the phone number(s) you want to make your calls from and our system will recognise you.

How long will my calling credit remain valid?

Your calling credit never expires when you create an account as there are no daily fees or any other sneaky hidden charges.
If you top up by text, your credit will stay valid for 60 days. There are no automatic top ups, so if you run out of credit you’ll need to text the word CHEAP to 68888 to buy another £5 PIN. This text costs £5 plus one standard network rate message.
